About
Beatriz Kushnir holds a PhD in History from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp, 2001), an MA in History from Fluminense Federal University (UFF, 1994), and a BA in History from the same institution (1989).
She is a professor in the Graduate Program in Records and Archives Management at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (PPGARQ/UNIRIO) and was a faculty member of the Graduate Program in History at UFF (2015–2024).
She is a member of the Center for Contemporary Studies (NEC/UFF) and INCT-Proprietas. She also works with institutions and councils related to history, archives, and documentary heritage, having chaired the Rio de Janeiro section of ANPUH (2024–2026) and served as director of the General Archive of the City of Rio de Janeiro (2005–2020).
