
Mario Grynszpan
Bachelor's and Licentiate in History from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), Master's and Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the National Museum of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with postdoctoral research at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris, France. He is a Full Professor at the Institute of History at UFF, working in the Graduate Program in History. He was also a Researcher and Full Professor at the Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary History of Brazil (CPDOC) at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation - RJ, where he coordinated the Graduate Program in History, Politics, and Cultural Goods from 2003 to 2007. He was the Head of the History Department at UFF from 2019 to 2021. He has published numerous articles in specialized journals, as well as books and several book chapters. He has participated in academic events and delivered lectures in Brazil and abroad, having been a Maître de Conférences Invité at the Centre de Recherches sur le Brésil Contemporain at EHESS and a speaker at the Florestan Fernandes Chair at El Colegio de Mexico. His main areas of expertise are Rural Sociology, Social History of Elites, and Theory, Methods, and Historiography.
