📢 Call for Papers "Trajectories of Women in Authoritarian Regimes in Latin America (19th, 20th, and 21st Centuries)" 📢
Organized by Dr Andréa Queiroz (UFRJ) and Dr Izabel Pimentel (UERJ/NEC-UFF) in Revista del Cesla, submissions will be accepted until April 30, 2025.
The dossier aims to gather articles that analyze, from different perspectives, the trajectories of women, both in rural and urban areas, during authoritarian regimes in Latin America throughout the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. It will highlight the memories of political, ethnic-racial, and gender-based violence; the multiple forms of resistance by women during authoritarian regimes; stories of political prisoners and women’s prisons; the trajectories of so-called “ordinary women” who resisted authoritarian regimes without being part of political organizations; trauma related to gender issues and Oral History of women.
