The research seeks to understand the social and political movement that began in 1945, analyzing its persistence after the end of the Estado Novo. It focuses on the proceedings of the 1946 Constituent Assembly, identifying the presence of the terms “Queremismo” and “Queremista” during the constitutional sessions in order to investigate the movement’s continuity and the ways in which it reorganized itself after the deposition of Getúlio Vargas.
