Wallace Andrioli holds a PhD (2016) and an MA (2011) in Social History from Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and a BA in History from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF, 2008).

He is conducting postdoctoral research in the Graduate Program in History at UFF. He previously conducted postdoctoral research at UFJF (2018–2023).

He has taught at UFJF, Minas Gerais State University (UEMG), and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and has also collaborated with the Graduate Program in History at UFJF.

​

He is a film critic and has been a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics since 2020. He is a member of the Asia Observatory at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and writes about Asian cinema for the website Cinema Mahjong.
