Carlos José Bauer da Silva

About

Carlos Bauer holds an MA in Social History from Fluminense Federal University (UFF, 2022) and a BA in History from the same institution (2020). He is currently a doctoral student in the Graduate Program in History at UFF, with a CAPES fellowship (2025–2027).

He teaches in both the private school system, since 2017, and the public school system, since 2021. He was a FAPERJ fellow and an intern at the Secretariat of Federal Heritage, in partnership with UFF and the Euclides da Cunha Foundation (FEC).

He develops research on memory and history, with a focus on the relationship between the bombing of Dresden (1945) and the appropriation of these narratives by extremist movements in Germany.
