
Marcus Dezemone
PhD in History from Fluminense Federal University (2008), Master's degree (2004), and Bachelor's degree (both in History and Teaching, 2002) from the same institution. Also holds a Law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2008). Currently pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship with CNPq funding as part of INCT-Proprietas and the PPGH-UFCE. Associate Professor of Brazilian History at Fluminense Federal University and at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, teaching in the Graduate Program in Social History at UFF and the Professional Master’s in History Teaching (ProfHistória) at UERJ. Consultant in Humanities, Management, and Education in both the public and private sectors. Collaborates with the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) since 2010. Coordinated the PIBID program (2014-2018 and 2019-2020) and the Pedagogical Residency Project (2023-2024) at the History Department in Niterói. Also prepares candidates for the Diplomatic Career Admission Exam at the Clio Course since 2006. Former professor and Deputy Director at Colégio Pedro II – Humaitá II Campus. Academic work focuses on History, with an emphasis on Republican Brazilian History, particularly in the areas of citizenship, rights, memory, the crisis of slavery, peasantry and politics, agrarian issues, and history teaching. Member of INCT-Proprietas.
